How did Fakesniff start?
Fakesniff started with one simple idea: raising awareness about drugs and the pressure surrounding drug use, especially among young people but ultimately affecting everyone.
As we continued our work and spoke to more and more people, we realized that our message was much bigger than we originally thought. Drugs are only one part of a much larger issue.
Today, a large part of our lives is shaped by social media, fashion, advertising, and the constant pressure to appear successful, attractive, and happy. We compare ourselves to carefully curated versions of other people’s lives, even though those versions are rarely the full truth.
That realization became the foundation of Fakesniff.
We don’t tell people what to think. Instead, we want to encourage them to question what they see, think critically, and remember that what appears online is often not reality.
Our statement is simple:
Nothing is real.
